My little business 2 Love Birds was invited to exhibit at the Confetti Fair in Melbourne this year. Confetti Fair is one of a kind party fair in Australia (possibly the world!) Read more about this amazing fair here. I was super excited (and nervous!) about showcasing my skills and my products. For the very first time I had a chance to meet and chat to some of my facebook likers and other lovely people who like me love parties, decorating and design. I have also met quite a few industry professionals such as event stylists, cake makers & other stationery designers. With some of those talented creatives I ‘spoke’ electronically multiple times, so it was wonderful (and a bit surreal) to finally meet them and chat in person. Here are a few photos showing our little stand.
Most of these beautiful pictures were taken by Katrin of Katrine’s Kitchen The multi-talended Katrin is also the blog’s food contributor so you may ‘know’ her from her monthly party food posts. Katrine also made all the cupcakes and cookies that you can see on my stand.
There was also a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with the other creative people in the industry. All the exhibitors were divided into groups, given an ‘occassion/theme’ and we worked together on creating various party set-ups. I was in the ‘wedding’ group. Below are a few pictures from a gorgeous & green wedding table setting. 2 Love Birds provided the stationery of course, the table was beautifully coordinated by event planners Sweet Measures and styled by Short & Spook. Other contributors included The bouquets of Ascha Jolie (flowers), Vintage Sew and So (products), One Sweet Girl (sweets), Top Tier Cakes (cake), Hipp (products).
